语言不但是交际的工具,而且是思维的工具。人类思维的日益精密,不仅有赖于社会实践,而且有赖于语言的运用。由此不难想见,语法教学对于学生思维能力的增强有着何等重要的意义!但是长期以来,这个问题似乎没有引起我们的足够重视。大家一提语法教学的目的,往往只有提高听说读写能力这一条,而在实际的教学中,又往往将听说读写能力也抛到九霄云外,成了为语法而语法。这正是语法教学直至目前距离自由王国的境界甚远,学生不胜其苦,教师不胜其累,到头来却收效甚微以至起反作用的根本原因。本文打算就语法教学中如何立足于思维能力的培养来精减教学内容、改进教学方法以及加强教学实践性的问题,谈一些粗浅的看法。
Language is not only a tool for communication, but also a tool for thinking. The increasing precision of human thinking depends not only on social practice but also on the use of language. It is not difficult to imagine that grammar teaching has an important significance for the enhancement of students’ thinking ability! But for a long time, this issue does not seem to have attracted enough attention from us. Everyone mentions the purpose of grammar teaching, often only to improve the ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
