语言不但是交际的工具,而且是思维的工具。人类思维的日益精密,不仅有赖于社会实践,而且有赖于语言的运用。由此不难想见,语法教学对于学生思维能力的增强有着何等重要的意义!但是长期以来,这个问题似乎没有引起我们的足够重视。大家一提语法教学的目的,往往只有提高听说读写能力这一条,而在实际的教学中,又往往将听说读写能力也抛到九霄云外,成了为语法而语法。这正是语法教学直至目前距离自由王国的境界甚远,学生不胜其苦,教师不胜其累,到头来却收效甚微以至起反作用的根本原因。本文打算就语法教学中如何立足于思维能力的培养来精减教学内容、改进教学方法以及加强教学实践性的问题,谈一些粗浅的看法。 Language is not only a tool for communication, but also a tool for thinking.
