化学教学中对于多因素、多变量的问题,通常采用控制变量的思想,对化学问题作多层面、多角度的分析与探究。把多因素的问题变成多个单因素的问题,每一次只改变其中的某一个因素,而控制其余几个因素不变,从而研究被改变的这个因素对事物的影响,依次加以分析,最后再综合解决,这种思想叫控制变量思想,被广泛应用于化学教学中。笔者认为控制变量思想可以把多种因素相互交错、共同作用的错综复杂问题,简化为研究对象与各个单一变化的问题,从而降低化学问题
