Objective To investigate the effect of antipsychotics on gonadal index and sexual function in male rats. Methods Eighty three-month-old male rats were randomly divided into quetiapine group, risperidone group, haloperidol group and distilled water control group (equal volume of distilled water, hereinafter referred to as the control group) Daily gavage administration. Quetiapine group was given 20 mg / kg body weight in each group, 2 mg / kg body weight in risperidone group, 2 mg / kg body weight in haloperidol group, and equal volume distilled water in control group. Rats in each group were randomly selected after 3,6 weeks of administration of 10 rats were mating experiments and to assess the parameters of sexual behavior after the experiment were sacrificed and removed testis, epididymis, seminal vesicle, prostate weight, calculated gonads index. Results The epididymal index and the epididymis, prostatic and seminal vesicle index in the haloperidol group and the risperidone group were lower than those in the same age group at the third week after the administration of haloperidol and the sixth week after the haloperidol treatment t = -3695 ~ -6077; P <005 ~ <0001), no abnormality was found in the sixth week of risperidone group. At week 3, sexual desire (rides, insertions, times of ejaculation), sexual arousal (riding-in, insertion latency) and orgasm thresholds (ejaculation latency) of the haloperidol- and risperidone- (U = 65-23; P <005 ~ <0001). At the 6th week after administration, the haloperidol group (except the above parameters) Rate) were also impaired. There was a significant difference between the two groups (U = 19; P = 0019), but no significant difference was found between the risperidone group and the control group. There was no significant difference in the gonadal index and sexual behavior parameters between the quetiapine group and the 3rd and 6th week of administration (P> 0.05). Conclusion Flutropubine
