英语教学是属于一种语言的教学,不同国家的语言有不同的语言特色和环境,代表了长期的国家和民族的文化内涵和社会生活方式。英语教学从文化视域来看本身就是一种跨文化教学的过程,要让学生喜欢英语、学好英语,首先就要了解这个语言背后和文化背景和国家发展情况。如果学生没有对某一文化特性和价值有一定了解的话,不能跨越不同国家和文化民族界线的话,就很难用英语思维的学习方式来学习英语。因此研究跨文化视域的英语教学是十分重要的。分析认为:跨文化视域下的英语教学必须了解英美文化和社会方式的变迁;跨文化视域下的英语教学要用英美的思维来融合学习英语的过程。
English teaching belongs to the teaching of one language. Different countries have different linguistic features and environments, representing the long-term cultural connotation and social life style of the country and the nation. From the cultural point of view, English teaching itself is a cross-cultural teaching process. To make students like English and learn English well, we must first understand the language behind and the cultural background and national development. If students do not have a certain understanding of a particular cultural identity and value, they can hardly learn English in the way of English thinking if they can not cross different national and cultural ethnic boundaries. Therefore, it is very important to study English teaching from a cross-cultural perspective. The analysis shows that: English teaching in the cross-cultural context must understand the changes of Anglo-American culture and social styles; and English teaching in a cross-cultural context should use Anglo-American thinking to integrate learning English.
