As early as before the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, the line-up of the “Southern Region Headquarters for National Salvation Society” in Hong Kong, which was based in Hong Kong, published “Drum War” as a journal. Other newspapers actively promoting the war of resistance include the “Volkswagen” Daily sponsored by former 19th Route Army Cai Zhuandun, the “Pearl River Daily” sponsored by Guangxi Local Power and the “declaration” issued by the mainland authorities for relocating to Hong Kong. With the fall of Shanghai and Nanjing one after another, many cultural people have come southward to Hong Kong, which directly strengthens the line-up of Hong Kong’s cultural press. During this period, the newspapers in the Mainland that moved to Hong Kong included “Ta Kung Pao” and “Li Po”, while “Sing Tao Daily” was also started in Hong Kong by Hu Wenhu and presided over by Jin Zhonghua. At that time, the anti-Japanese publications in Hong Kong included the “Literary and Art Front” edited by Mao Dun, the “Time Criticism” edited by Zhou Wha Wen, and the “Student Voices” of Hong Kong Students’ Black Societies. Under the leadership of the Eighth Route Army in Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Municipal Party Committee of the CPC, the promotion of anti-Japanese culture promoted the climax of fundraising. In 1938, there were fundraising events on all anniversaries. In particular, the “August 13th” donation campaign was the most enthusiastic. Hong Kong made a huge contribution of one million in donations and was highly praised by the proletariat’s leadership in offering donations to save the country. After the fall of Guangzhou, other aspects of cultural activities are also gradually started. 1939
