Since the 1990s of last century, the rapid progress of Guangxi province has been achieved in machinery industry, especially the automobile industry, engineering machinery industry and so forth, which have effectively promoted the development of china’s foundry industry. The types of metal castings cover the components for diesel engines, gasoline engines, engineering machinery, compressors, agriculture machinery, metallurgical and mining machinery, chemical engineering machinery and so on. Among them the annual output of diesel engine castings is up to120 kt, engineering machinery castings up to 60 kt. The following are the castings output of Guangxi in recent years (Table1) and production survey for major iron & steel casting enterprises in Guangxi (Table2 , Table3).
