当前,小型锅炉数量大,应用范围广,同时技术又比较落后,热效率低。据沈阳市不完全统计,在6,622台锅炉中就有5,275台锅炉是人工投煤操作的,占75～80％左右。烟囱冒出大量黑烟,混在灰渣内被扒出去没有烧尽的固体炭,以及水、汽没有被合理地利用等现象普遍存在。要节约燃料煤就得先从改进操作方法,减少上述煤炭被浪费的现象入手。
