Should students who have achieved good results also be ideologically educated? In the past, we did not attach importance to this issue. Later, several things that happened to students who had achieved good results touched us and prompted us to put this problem into its proper place. There is a student in Grade Two who is a member of the Communist Youth League, a squad leader, and has a top academic record. Unexpectedly, he suddenly “ran away” midway through the last semester. Before leaving, he left a letter to the head teacher and the school leader to the effect that he would go out to inspect the society, use the pen to expose the ills of the society, and awaken people to struggle. Although we rushed to Nantong Port in time to chase the classmate back, we were seriously neglected. Students are concerned about politics and have the courage to think about social issues. This is a good thing. However, like this classmate, because of his youth and lack of social experience, he only looks at the phenomenon of problems, does not look at the substance, and thinks one-sidedly. He is partial, therefore he is dissatisfied with the society, but we cannot find it in time.
