自从粘滑地震机制提出以来,不同条件下的岩石摩擦实验研究吸引了地震学者的注意。但是地震的低应力降现象,断层活动的蠕动事件,断层带中火量破碎物质的存在及岩石摩擦实验中“岩粉”的产生等,使人们对断层泥的作用产生了兴趣,于是关于断层泥力学行为的实验研究成为十分热门的课题。十几年来,人们对断层泥的力学行为有了较深的认识,但仍有许多问题不清楚或仍在争论之中。本文从断层带的物理环境出发,对断层泥力学实验谈几点看法。
Since the stick-slip earthquake mechanism was proposed, the rock friction experiment under different conditions has attracted the attention of seismologists. However, the low stress drop of earthquakes, the peristalsis of fault activity, the existence of fire and broken matter in the fault zone and the production of “rock dust” in the rock friction experiment have brought people’s interest in the action of fault mud. Experimental study on the mechanics of fault mud has become a hot topic. More than a decade, people have a deeper understanding of mechanics of fault mud, but many problems remain unclear or still under debate. In this paper, starting from the physical environment of the fault zone, a few comments on the mechanics of fault mud tests are given.
