以二氯化锡为还原剂将3、6—二硝基二苯并碘五环氯化物及3、6—二硝基二苯并一对一氧碘六环氯化物分别还原为3、6—二氨基二苯并碘五环氯化物4及3、6—二氨基二苯并一对一氧碘六环氯化物6、4和6先在盐酸(或氢溴酸)中进行重氮化反应,所得产物再经Sandmeyer反应分别得到3、6—二氯二苯并碘五环氯化物(或3 6—二溴二苯并碘五环溴化物)和3、6—二氟二苯并—对一氧碘六环氯化物(或3、6—二溴二苯并一对一氧碘六环溴化物)。4和6在硫酸中的重氮化产物与碘化钾反应分别得到3、6—二碘二苯并碘五环碘化物及3、6—二碘二苯并一对一氧碘六环碘化物。

The diazotization products of 4 and 6 in sulfuric acid are reacted with potassium iodide to give 3,6-diiododiphenyliodonium pentachloride and 3,6-diiododibenzo-p-dioxoiodocyclohexyl iodide, respectively.
