As a kid growing up， I remember almost every wise adult in my life passing on the same sage[贤明的] advice， “Scott， you should always finish what you start.” Frankly， I hated that advice—so I quit listening to it.
　　Don’t get me wrong， I’m really good at consistency[连贯性] and completing projects， but I’ve also figured out that I tend to learn most of what I really need to know， to actually decide if I really want to do something， after I begin down my path—which can be really frustrating[令人沮丧的].
　　Thankfully， these days， using a little wisdom and experience， I usually know what I want， but every now and then， I find myself heading in a direction I never intended[打算]—so I simply quit.
　　And I do it fast.
　　If you find yourself not traveling in the direction you desire—be brave and change it now.

　　幸好，这些日子以来，运用一点智慧和经验，我基本上知道自己想要什么，但我还是会不时地发现自己转向了从未预想的方向——于是我直接放弃。
