把上海建成国际航运中心,必将给长江三角洲地区、长江经济走廊带来更大的腾飞,必将促进长江下游各港口进一步开放。江阴港作为长江中上游物资中转的枢纽港和江苏省中部的交通枢纽港,应该怎么办?采取何种对策?近4年来,江阴港吞吐量一直稳定在400万吨左右,外贸吞吐量成倍增长,经济效益名列长江各港前头,成为长江下游的一个重要外贸港口。中央把上海建成国际航运中心的决策,无疑是再次给江阴港创造了极好的机遇,将促进港口第三次腾飞,我们绝不能错过良机。因此,江阴港的对策是“主动策应、搞好配套、加快建设、扩大开放”。3月29日,全国人大常委会副委员长弗孝通来江阴考察长江口岸时十分赞同这一港口发展新思路。

Therefore, the solution of Jiangyin Port is “take the initiative to coordinate, do a good job in matching, speeding up construction and expanding opening up.” On March 29, Vice Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee of the NPC Standing Committee of the State Council, Xiao-tong Tong, came to Jiangyin for inspection of the Changjiang port and very much agreed with this new concept of port development.
