Prostate cancer is one of the common malignant tumors in men. In recent years, the incidence of prostate cancer in our country has obviously increased. Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) refer to the general name of various types of tumor cells existing in peripheral blood. They can reflect the characteristics of individual tumors because spontaneous or diagnostic procedures fall away from solid tumor lesions and enter the peripheral blood. In the case of prostate cancer, studies suggest that circulating tumor cells in the peripheral blood of patients are well predictive of micrometastasis in prostate cancer. The current research on CTC in prostate cancer has gradually expanded from the level of cell count to the application of CTC to study prostate cancer related molecular biomarkers. In addition, some researchers try to explore the application of CTC from the nucleus perspective.
