本文围绕一部在奥斯汀接受史上起到重要作用的传记文献《简.奥斯汀回忆录》,借鉴哈布瓦赫的“集体记忆”理论,回顾和重读了19世纪末、20世纪初相关的文化事件和现象,以此来探讨“奥斯汀”的特定形象构建及成为文化能指的过程。本文认为《回忆录》对于奥斯汀接受的最大影响在于构建了“英格兰的简姑妈”这一神话,使“奥斯汀”成为一个蕴含着复杂的情感内涵、用以在特定历史语境中界定自身身份的文化符号。
This essay reviews and re-reads the related cultural events of the late 19th and early 20th centuries based on the “Memoir of Jane Austen”, a biography of Jane Austen which plays an important role in Austin’s acceptance history, drawing on Haberheat’s theory of “collective memory” And phenomena, in order to explore the specific image of “Austin” and the process of being able to become a means of culture. This paper argues that “memoir” has the greatest influence on Austin’s acceptance. It constructs the myth that “Jane Austen in England ” makes “Austin ” into a complex emotional connotation to define in a specific historical context Cultural symbols of their own identity.
