20世纪80年代以来,中国文学理论界对纪实文学已有所研究,但是,其研究还是肤浅的、片面的,至今没有人从当下读者最喜爱,社会影响最大,以《知音》、《家庭》和《华西都市报》、《南方周末》等为代表的“特稿”身上发现纪实文学的累累硕果,没有人把史记学与当代纪实文学联系起来加以研究,也没有人从当代文学体裁分类角度探寻纪实文学的价值,更没有人将纪实类文学提高到与虚构类文学(即“纯文学”)同宗同源、平起平坐的地位,从而得出在21世纪,在市场经济条件下,纪实文学取代虚构文学、中国文坛将全面进入纪实文学时代的科学论断。
