As an important writer who active in the southern American literary world after World War II and an exile in the southern homeland, Robert Penn Warren’s literary creation always reflects the rich local consciousness. His profound and comprehensive understanding of and understanding of human society as embodied in his works stems from his analysis of the sentiments that are hard to break away from the homeland in the South and his rational analysis and criticism of the South. As a writer who cares about the suffering and destiny of mankind, Warren’s novels in his works are by no means simple and narrow. His pursuit in the field of literature is not only the inheritance of the Southern culture, but also his southern Complex sublimation and beyond.
