本刊 2001年第 1期《监察顾问》刊登《王某是否应受到处罚？》，在该案中，王某擅自指令公司财务部人员为刘某办理 500万元承兑汇票并出具垫资介绍信，给公司造成 600万元巨大损失。案例刊登后，各地读者纷纷来信参与讨论，提出了各自的看法，大体是两种： 一、认为王某的行为已构成严重违纪，应受到纪律处分。持这种观点的同志有：湖北省老河口市纪委审理室，江西省铜鼓县纪委监察局何荣先，福建省宁化县纪委邱智辉，安徽省明光市纪委监察局刘家智等。 二、认为王某的行为既违纪又违法，属于挪用公款行为，并已构成挪用公款罪。持这种观点的同志有：江西省铜鼓县纪委监察局何钦仁、谌峰，江西省泰和县纪委胡启荣，江苏省扬州市纪委于瑞华、殷立琴，湖南省武冈市纪委吕中行，中国水利水电第三工程局纪委杜伟建，福建省政和县纪委郑益言，湖南省道县纪委唐新秋、杨安良，四川省开江县纪委监察局庞佑凡，湖北省利川市人民医院肖南华，四川省新龙县纪委张志彬，重庆市纪委贾爱珍，河北省邯郸市复兴区纪委监察局乔俊杰等。因篇幅所限，其他读者来信的观点和姓名本刊不再一一刊登。 关于《王某是否应受到处罚？》这里特刊发本刊顾问组的意见，作为该案讨论的结论，供读者参考。
