Objective To understand the status of heavy metal pollution represented by lead and cadmium in some foods in Liuzhou City through continuous and dynamic monitoring. Methods The status of lead and cadmium contamination in food, tea and other 11 kinds of foods in 2006-2009 was monitored. The samples were pretreated according to the national standard method GB / T 5009-2003 and determined by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. Results A total of 11 food samples were detected in 4 years, including 273 parts of lead and 296 parts of cadmium. Lead meet the national standard of 244, with a pass rate of 89.4%; cadmium accord with 270 national standards, with a pass rate of 91.2%. Conclusion Edible fungi have been polluted by cadmium. Lead and cadmium in all kinds of food have been detected, indicating that there are different degrees of accumulation. Monitoring and management should be strengthened.
