德国艺术家汉娜·霍克(Hannah Hoch)是柏林达达运动1的代表人物之一。20世纪初期,她与拉乌尔·豪斯曼(Raoul Hausmann)等人率先使用了摄影蒙太奇技术的手法,并以此闻名于世。摄影蒙太奇技术就是将现有的或原有的照片,通常是剪裁紧凑的肖像组合在一起,再配上粗体文字,已达到视觉冲击、一目了然的构图效果。霍克运用摄影蒙太奇技法将来自大众媒介的照片进行拼贴组合,以一个“新女性”的角度展示了柏林的视觉文化,以及当时混乱、骚动的政治文化环境。
