Objective To study the expression and significance of CD59 in pregnant women with severe preeclampsia and normal pregnant women. Methods Thirty pregnant women at the third trimester of pregnancy were selected as the control group, and 27 pregnant women with severe preeclampsia were selected as severe preeclampsia. The expression of CD59 in blood cells and placenta was detected by flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry. Results The positive expression levels of CD59 in control group and severe preeclampsia group were (86.86 ± 1.91)% and (27.26 ± 7.05)%, respectively. There was significant difference between the two groups (P <0.05) Vascular CD59 positive expression, severe preeclampsia group CD59 negative expression. Conclusion The decrease of CD59 expression in maternal blood cells and placenta is closely related to the occurrence of preeclampsia.
