解放战争期间,蒋介石在东北、南京等地屡屡对其部下讲,军人要有“杀身成仁”的勇气,并誓言要与上海、南京共存亡。然而他背地里却在密谋逃亡事宜。在反复比较了美国和日本后,蒋介石下定了逃亡日本的决心,并要国民党政府驻日本军事代表团团长朱世明秘密为其在日本购置豪宅。蒋介石认为,自己早年在日本呆过,懂日语,生活也很习惯,更主要的是他曾顶着压力释放了包括冈村宁次在内的一大批日本战犯,他自信流亡日本,日本人会欢迎的。不料,密购豪宅一事走漏了消息,使蒋介石颜面尽失。直到2003年9月,蒋介石的心腹周宏涛才在台湾说出蒋介石阴谋逃亡日本这一内幕。
During the War of Liberation, Chiang Kai-shek repeatedly told his subordinates in the northeast and Nanjing that military personnel should have the courage to “kill themselves” and vowed to live together with Shanghai and Nanjing. However, he was secretly plotting to escape. After repeatedly comparing the United States and Japan, Chiang Kai-shek laid down his determination to flee to Japan and wanted the secret of the Kuomintang government’s Japanese military delegation to purchase luxury mansions in Japan. Chiang Kai-shek believed that he had spent his early years in Japan, knew Japanese, and lived a good life. What was even more important was that he had put pressure on a large number of Japanese war criminals including Okamura Ninji. He confidently exile in Japan and the Japanese people welcome. Unexpectedly, the secret to buy a mansion leaked the news, so Chiang Kai-shek face lost. It was not until September 2003 that Chiang Kai-shek’s henchmen, Zhou Hongtao, set out in Taiwan the inside story of Chiang Kai-shek’s conspiracy to flee to Japan.
