本文叙述福特航空空间通信公司目前设计的国际通信卫星-V 技术。国际通信卫星-V 是迄今为国际通信卫星组织设计和建造的最大型商用通信卫星。本文还叙述卫星系统设计的概念,其重点放在构成卫星总体设计概念的关键技术。关键系统的设计总结,包括了卫星的通信分系统、控制分系统、遥测、指令和测距分系统.电源分系统、推进分系统、温控分系统,以及卫星独特的工作特性等方面的讨论。关键技术是石墨纤维增强塑料、邻接波段输出多路调制器、双重极化成形的多波束天线、双集电极11千兆赫行波管和电热式推力器。
This article describes the current design of International Telecommunications satellite-V technology by Ford Aviation Space Communications. International Telecommunications Satellite-V is by far the largest commercial communications satellite designed and built for Intelsat. This article also describes the concept of satellite system design, with a focus on the key technologies that make up the overall satellite design concept. The design of key systems is summarized, including satellite communication subsystem, control subsystem, telemetry, command and ranging subsystem, power subsystem, propulsion subsystem, temperature control subsystems, as well as the satellite’s unique working characteristics and other aspects of the discussion . The key technologies are graphite fiber reinforced plastics, adjoining band output multiplexers, dual polarized multibeam antennas, dual collector 11 GHz traveling wave tubes and electrothermal thrusters.
