This study aims to improve diesel engine performance and emission characteristics by burning fumigated methanol and adding a known proportion of diesel fuel to the diesel fuel. In order to control the diesel engine emissions and improve its performance, the use of alternative fuels and in-cylinder control technology. The experimental study was carried out on a single cylinder diesel engine. The engine is equipped with a heat exchanger that recuperates the heat of the exhaust gas, in order to use the exhaust heat to preheat the intake air.
