Objective To understand the molecular epidemiology and drug resistance status of 26 virulent strains of Vibrio parahaemolyticus causing food poisoning in recent years and provide reference for the development of appropriate control measures. Methods PCR primers were designed according to the sequences of TDH and TRH gene of Vibrio parahaemolyticus, and the PCR reaction system was established to detect 26 strains that occurred from November 2005 to August 2008 The virulence genes TDH and TRH were isolated from 8 strains of Vibrio parahaemolyticus isolated from sporadic food poisonings. The drug sensitivity was determined by KB method. Results Twenty-six strains of Vibrio parahaemolyticus carried TDH gene, the positive rate was 88%. All the strains did not carry TRH gene. 26 strains were susceptible to imipenem, amikacin, cefepime, Thirteen drugs, thiazole, gentamicin, ciprofloxacin, piperacillin, cefoperazone, ceftazidime, cefoxitin were not resistant strains; but sulfadoxazole, ticarcillin, ampicillin Have higher resistance rates, respectively, reached 76.9%, 69.2%, 80.8%. The compound cotrimoxazole, tetracycline, cefuroxime axetil, cefalotin, cefazolin and other resistant strains also exist. Conclusion The TDH gene is the major molecular epidemiological feature of Vibrio parahaemolyticus causing food poisoning in recent years. The isolated strains are highly sensitive to many commonly used drugs. The results provide a scientific basis for evaluating the molecular epidemiology of Vibrio parahaemolyticus causing food poisoning and formulating feasible control measures.
