根据59式坦克发动机中几组易磨损的摩擦副,选用相应的材料,经离子渗硫处理后,测定了相应的摩擦学性能;又对59式坦克变速箱的四挡主动齿轮和侧减速器主动轴齿轮离子渗硫处理后,进行了实车考核。2组试验结果都表明,经渗硫处理后,零件和试样的摩擦学性能大大提高,说明离子渗硫技术能够应用于装甲车辆,且具有很大的军事效益和经济效益。
