Austrian artist Max Weil’s paintings have long been out of touch with figurative art. His late landscape paintings are basically just color clumps, lines and spots, but they can really reveal the inherent power of nature. He believes that painting is a “process,” and his pursuit of a holistic grasp of the world is intrinsically linked to the spirit of “Tao” in China. He met Chinese Taoism through the landscape painting of the Chinese Song people and he realized from the landscape paintings of the Song people that the Chinese people had a unique way of grasping nature and regarded it as a philosophical approach that opened a new path for their artistic creation Embark on the road of exploration of modern art, rendering his painting language a unique style
