中国当代油画家一方面学习和借鉴西方现代艺术的同时,另一方面也对本土传统文化产生浓厚的兴趣,中国油画也开始趋向于写意的表现形式,在油画表现形式上既受西方现代主义影响同时也传承了中国传统文人画的气质精髓,传统文人画中的美学经验以及绘画技法对当代写意油画都产生了很大的影响,在发挥油画原有艺术语言与表现力的同时,融入中国的写意精神和笔墨意趣。但同时我们还需面临的一些重要的问题。如:加强对传统文化精髓的研究与理解,深刻领悟意象写意的深层内涵等。中国的“写意”概念并非以工具材料来界定,也不是以作画速度的快慢去体现,更不是简单的样式模仿,它是由“写意性”精神的内涵决定的,只有内在精神才具有实质性价值和意义,才能真正体现民族文化精神。
