Dell’s PowerVault 755N is the first NAS device seen by eWEEK (US) labs to run with the advanced features of Microsoft Server Appliance Kit 2.0 (SAK 2.0) and expands its storage capacity to 7TB. Instead of buying a new file server, many small and medium-sized companies are starting to adopt low-cost NAS devices (network attached storage) to meet their storage needs. And this sort of deal has reached some level of balance: most workgroup-level NAS devices do not scale easily and lack the redundancy capabilities of file servers. Now, Dell’s PowerVault 755N opens up a world of new things in this area. Although running the SAV 2.0 on the PowerVault 755N is not easy and requires a lot of money, it has great scalability - with up to 7TB of storage capacity. PowerVault755N incorporates strong server hardware and SAK2.0 redundancy capabilities, and Windows 2000 high
