乙未年末,一只飞鸟的到来与离去掀起了翻译界、文学界、出版界以及公共讨论平台上的一场风波。诗人、作家冯唐新译的泰戈尔诗集《飞鸟集》一经问世,褒贬不一;最终书虽下架,却引来了学界与大众对其翻译的关注与热议。笔者做过翻译,也研读过不少译本,或为古代经典,或为现当代文学,故不免对此事心有感慨,却无关是非对错;只是感慨之余,倒是对“翻译”本身有了更多思量。
By the end of 2003, the arrival and departure of a flying bird set off a storm in the translation, literary, publishing and public discussion platforms. The poet and writer Feng Tang’s translation of Tagore’s poetry collection “Astrology” once published, mixed; the final book, although off the shelf, has drawn the attention of academia and the public on its translation and hot. I have done translation, but also studied many translations, or the ancient classics, or modern and contemporary literature, it is inevitable that this feeling of emotion, but nothing to do is right or wrong; just feeling apart, it touches on “translation” Itself has more thought.
