青岛地处山东半岛东南部,依山傍海,山水相连,以“红花绿树碧海蓝天”的美丽风貌而著称,是我国重要的沿海开放城市和港口城市。近几年来,青岛市的园林环卫事业得到了长足发展,曾先后获得“全国洁净城市”、“国家卫生城市”、“全国造林绿化十佳城市”、首批“中国优秀旅游城市”、“国家环境保护模范城市”、“全国创建文明城市工作先进市”、“国家园林城市”等荣誉称号,到目前建成区绿化覆盖率达到37.02％,人均公共绿地面积达到8.5平方米。
