Cucumber is a major vegetable in Japan. The current cultivated area in the country is 25,100 hectares (376,500 mu), accounting for 30.6% of the total fruit and vegetable area in the country and second only to strawberries in protected areas. In recent years, due to the emphasis on the cultivation of technological reform, it can achieve annual production and supply, and to continuously improve the production of a season of crops.
