今年退伍老兵运输从11月25日开始，入伍新兵运输从12月10日开始，均至12月底结束。各铁路局成立新老兵运输领导小组和办公室，充分做好各项准备工作，确保计划落到实处，力争高标准、高质量地做好新老兵运输工作。完善新老兵运输工作责任制度。相关部门加大退伍老兵运输组织力度，预留充足的票额、车辆。各客运段添乘担当有新老兵运输任务的列车，确保新老兵运输安全平稳。
为给新老兵提供细致周到的站车服务，铁路部门认真执行新老兵购票、行李托运、进出站和中转换乘“四优先”的原则，为新老兵排忧解难、提供方便；积极安排好新老兵中转换乘、在站候车各项服务工作，做好新老兵运输途中的饮食供应工作；搞好站车宣传工作，利用广播、标语、电视丰富新老兵的旅途生活。
另外，铁路工作人员还协助部队检查退伍老兵托运的行包及随身携带物品，防止将爆炸、易燃等危险品带上列车，确保新老兵运输工作安全。
Annual railway transportation of the new recruits and old soldiers start in Nov 25. All the leaders and employees who join the transportation of new recruits and old soldiers will respect and care the soldiers in every aspect, do all the preparatory work to ensure the plan implemented, transport new recruits and old soldiers with high standards and quality.
This year, the transportation of old soldiers start from November 25, transportation of new recruits from December 10, till the end of December. Every Railway Bureau set up leading group and office for the transport work; improve the responsibility system of transport work. The relevant departments increase efforts to organize transportation, set aside the sufficient tickets and vehicles. The leader of each section must travel by the trains which transport soldiers to ensure the transportation safe and smooth.
As provide the careful service for new recruits and old soldiers, the railway departments implement the "four priority" principle seriously, which are about tickets, baggage, in and out of station and transfer; solve problems and provide convenience for the new recruits and old soldiers; arrange the service work of new recruits and old soldiers transfer and wait in the station, provide the food through the transportation; improve the propaganda of station and vehicle, use the radio, posters and television colorful the journey life of new recruits and old soldiers. The railway staffs also help troops to check the bag and carry-on items, prevent the explosive, flammable and other dangerous goods are bring to the train, as for ensure the transportation safe.
