Studies have shown that leukocyte adhesion to the vein and the cavernous capillaries is an important cause of severe shock microcirculation perfusion is not easy to recover. It is also demonstrated that the increased adhesion of polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNs) plays an important role in vascular tissue injury after ischemia and reperfusion.
