2016年是国际知名修辞学家、香港中文大学高级研究员、复旦大学顾问教授郑子瑜先生诞辰100周年,2017年是中国现代修辞学的奠基者陈望道先生逝世40周年。被誉为第一个研究中国修辞学史、树立起第一块里程碑的郑子瑜先生,其中国修辞学史研究及对中国修辞史这门分支学科的大力推动,均源自陈望道修辞学思想的启迪和引领。由此也从侧面折射出陈望道修辞学思想引领中国修辞学发展几十年的巨大影响力。
