通过对翻译专业口译教师职业发展相关的提升与进修、科研与理论研究意识、口译实践活动意识、口译人才培养理念与方法论四个维度的内容进行调查,可以看出翻译专业口译教师队伍拥有积极的口译专业建设、人才培养、职业发展观与价值观,但还存在局恨性,如技术职称低、学历水平偏低、口译教龄短等问题。促进翻译专业口译教师的专业发展,研究生教育主管部门及决策部门应注重口译教师的遴选和调整,加大师资的提升与培训力度,为口译教师营造良好的科研氛围,并建立相关激励机制鼓励口译教师指导学生的口译活动。
