金圣叹因之成名亦因之成“魔”的扶乩降神活动,通过对理想人格的塑造,实现对现实生命的想象性重写,提升了此一行为的“构造质量”和文化涵蕴,从而在影响其一生的同时,也给历史和时人投下了浓重魅影。尤侗一生对金圣叹成名之路的自觉或不自觉的模仿和贬抑,均可由此得到解释。以扶乩降神活动和才子“争名”心态为切入点,绾结以“才子”著称于时、同为明末清初长洲文人的尤侗与金圣叹,对前者单方面发起的与后者数十年的才名争较作一梳理,探究其中的隐秘过程和个人心曲,可为了解其时江南文人的精神生活与文学生态,提供一个独特而典型的研究视域。
