Inverted echo sounder (IES’S) is used to measure the IES to the sea surface acoustic propagation time. These relatively inexpensive subsea installations are recommended for the following purposes: a. Long-term monitoring of special site dynamic changes (such as heat capacity, thermocline, power height deviation, etc.); b. High altitude satellite altimeter calibration; c. Study different sea level signals between near-shore tide gauges and near-shore tide gauges. To measure changes in sea level, especially centimeter-level accuracy, the exact relationship between transmission time and dynamic altitude deviation must be obtained. Assuming a constant linear regression coefficient between dynamic altitude deviations and propagation times, based on 77 sampling measurements from depths 0-3000 m, outside Abaj Island, The Bahamas, 1984-1987, it was found that propagation time and power altitude The regression coefficient between the changes is systematically, month by month changes. The regression coefficient adds up to 10 dynamic centimeter-level ancillary errors when applying IES measurements to sea-level changes, without calculation.
