在ATM网中,是否接受一个新呼叫关键在于网络能否提供满足传输性能指标的带宽。因此,能够找到一个既简洁又准确的带宽分配算法是一个很吸引人的问题。对于可变比特率编码的视频信号,若已知比特率概率密度,可用卷积计算所需分配的带宽,但在网中很难实现卷积运算,幸运的是比特率概率密度函数近似正态分布,因此简化了带宽分配算法,本文对这种算法的合理性、误差问题进行了分析,对公式提出了修正看法。
In an ATM network, the key to whether or not to accept a new call is whether the network can provide bandwidth that meets transmission performance specifications. Therefore, finding a simple and accurate bandwidth allocation algorithm is a very attractive issue. For a variable bit rate encoded video signal, if the bit rate probability density is known, convolution can be used to calculate the required bandwidth allocated, but it is very difficult to implement convolution in the network. Fortunately, the bit rate probability density function is approximately normal Thus simplifying the bandwidth allocation algorithm. In this paper, the rationality and error of this algorithm are analyzed, and the correction formula is put forward.
