The British Empire Minister Zhu Erdian was an important foreigner in the history of the Revolution of 1911. In October 1911, following the outbreak of the Revolution of 1911, Zhu Erdian took advantage of his close co-operation with Yuan Shikai and actively advocated the assistance of Yuan Shikai politically. However, he secretly advocated for the British Empire a proxy in his own right in China. Compared with Yuan Shikai’s friendship and the interests of his British Empire, it is so insignificant. In the end, through his political intervention in the 1911 Revolution, Yuan Shikai, on the one hand, reached his political goal and on the other hand, he also influenced the process of social history in China.
