According to a study released by Swedish Internet market research company Royal Pingdom, the total number of Internet users in the world in 2012 exceeded 2.2 billion, an increase of nearly 100% compared with 1.15 billion in 2007. From this still rising data, we can easily find that computer and network science and technology are closely related to people’s daily life. While highly dependent on such technologies, science and technology involving computers and networks are quietly appearing in criminal activities. As a product of modern science and technology, computers have also become, to some extent, criminal means, modes of criminality, tools of criminality, criminal objectives, evidence of crime, and information stores that store information about criminality.
