Shujinsan is a well-known prescription for replenishing qi and activating blood, chasing wind and dispersing cold, and tonifying kidney and liver. The same name Shujinsan has two, that is, Wutaifang Shujinsan and Taiyuan Fangshujinsan. The Wutai Fang Shujin was from the Qing Dynasty (1821 to 1850); the Taiyuan Fangshujin San was from the Qing Dynasty to the Qianlong Period (AD 1711~1799). History shows that the Taiyuan party was earlier than Wutai 50 to 110 years ago. The two sides are mainly treated with lumbar and leg pain, irritability, paralysis, numbness in hands and feet, and wind, dampness and sputum. Pharmacology, preparations and other research reports are summarized below.
