瑞丽江一级水电站位于缅甸北部掸邦境内紧邻中缅边境的瑞丽江干流上,电站总装机容量60万千瓦,单机容量10万千瓦,保证出力17,4万千瓦,设计年平均发电量40,33亿千瓦时,年利用6722小时,首台机组于2008年9月投产发电,2009年4月,6台机组全部投产运行,工程总投资约32亿元人民币。工程建设快、质量好、安全零事故。并且在投产当年即创造利润。整个项目创下了国际国内水电建设多项新纪录。被缅方喻为“缅甸的三峡工程”。该项目由中国华能集团公司所属华能澜沧江水电有限公司控股的云南联合电力开发有限公司(占股80%,以下简称联合电力公司)与缅甸联邦电力一部水电实施司(占股20%)组
