神经性毒剂是一类有机磷化合物,可被用作化学武器和恐怖手段。神经毒剂如塔崩(GA)、沙林(GB)、梭曼(GD)和维埃克斯(VX)等能够与乙酰胆碱酯酶的活性位点结合产生不可逆的抑制作用,不及时治疗将会导致死亡。肟类乙酰胆碱酯酶重活化剂的分子结构中含有亲核基团,能够解离乙酰胆碱酯酶与有机磷毒剂之间的共价键,从而恢复乙酰胆碱酯酶的活性。而神经毒剂被用作恐怖手段的潜在威胁也促进人们研究更有效的肟类复活剂,以治疗神经毒剂的中毒。
