文化,作为一个国家和名族文明富强的基石,是民族之魂。在“全球化”和“本土化”双向冲击的背景下,各地区工业设计教育体系也随着社会文化和价值观的变化而进行转型。联合国教科文组织早在上世纪90年代初期就指出“注重发展教育的民族特色、地方特色,是世界教育发展的大趋。设计教育不是一般的美术教育,但我国当代高校的设计教育,仍是一种美术型的教育,或者说是一种旧有形态的”工艺美术“教育,而不是现代型的设计教育,更不是一种未来型的设计教育。只有将企业的需求与设计教育紧密结合起来,才能培养出适合企业需求的合格设计人才。本文经过大量的市场调研和文献阅读,结合多年的一线教育教学经验,以工业设计教育转型为例分三个部分进行论述:首先,阐述了地域文化特色对艺术教育体系转型的作用和意义;其次,分析了当前工业设计教育的地域文化特色缺失现状;最后,提出了创建地域文化特色的工业设计教育转型的策略。
