本研究调查了英语专业二至四年级学生写作词汇多样性和复杂性发展趋势。研究文本来自南京理工大学英语写作比赛。研究表明三个年级学生在写作词汇多样性和复杂性上没有统计显著性差异,但呈现出逐渐上升的趋势;与专八高分文章相比,三个年级学生的词汇能力仍有提升的空间,没有出现词汇发展的高原期;本研究所使用的词汇标准中,词汇多样性标准D值、最常用的2000词比例、学术词比例更能反映出三个年级之间的非显著性变化。
This study investigates the development trend of diversity and complexity of writing vocabulary for second- and fourth-year English majors. The research text comes from the Nanjing University of Technology English Writing Contest. The research shows that there is no statistically significant difference in the diversity and complexity of writing vocabulary among the three grade students, but it shows a gradual upward trend; compared with the high eight essay articles, the vocabulary ability of the three grade students still has room for improvement , There is no high plateau of the development of the vocabulary. Among the vocabulary standards used in this study, the standard D value of vocabulary diversity, the most commonly used 2000 word ratio, and the proportion of academic words reflect the non-significant change among the three grades.
