Cubic stars refer to satellites that are about 10 centimeters long and weigh about 1 kilogram. Cube Star has been welcomed by small businesses, universities and emerging countries as Cube Star can help them enter the aerospace and communications industries. Since the introduction of Cube Star Design in July 2015, 231 small satellites have been launched and another 44 have failed. As the use of cubic stars continues to grow, regulation of mitigation and avoidance of debris has also become more stringent in order to avoid the deterioration of the space utilization of space industry operators. Due to the lack of a propulsion system on the star, it is difficult for the cubic star to perform the operation of returning to the atmosphere at the end of the satellite lifetime,
