Objective To investigate the prevalence and influencing factors of mid-late HIV / AIDS reported by Shanghai Pudong New Area and to provide a working idea for making more effective AIDS prevention and control measures. Methods The current situation survey method was used to collect the demographic characteristics, the way of discovery and the first CD + 4T cell test results and other information for statistical description and analysis. When the diagnosis was made, the subjects of AIDS patients were the case group, and the subjects with HIV infection at the time of diagnosis were the control group. The case-control study was conducted to analyze the related factors of late detection of AIDS. Results A total of 832 eligible patients were investigated. Sexual transmission was the main route of investigation (98.67%). The main ways of detection included consultation (36.54%), STD clinics (25.84%) and other treatment visits (22.72% )Wait. 26.68% (222/832) of the respondents were diagnosed as AIDS patients at the time of diagnosis. The results of univariate analysis indicated that the age, marital status and education level had a significant effect on the late onset of AIDS (P <0.05). The respondents from different sample sources (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in gender, ethnicity and transmission of AIDS among late detection of AIDS (P> 0.05). Conclusion In recent years, Pudong New Area reported that the proportion of HIV / AIDS patients found late in the AIDS epidemic increased. Publicity and education should be further expanded and the detection should be expanded so as to continuously improve the ability of early detection of AIDS.
