The article introduces the Japanese paintings colleted by Lushun Museum of Liaoning Province. The paintings used to be exhibited in an exhibition hall built in Dalian during the Japanese rule. It was nationalized in 1951. After the founding of New China, the Lushun Museum continued to collect Japanese paintings. It has become one of the museums with the biggest collection of Japanese paintings. The paintings were done by 200 Japanese painters, covering all the major schools. Selected by the article are 15 works.
