In a limited space, it is no easy task to comprehensively explore Robert Frost and William C. Williams in the modern American literary world. Therefore, this article focuses on one aspect of the artistic achievements of two poets: how they seek for themselves through rich imagination of poetry, understand life, and explore the relationship between self-awareness and the nature of the universe. Both Robert Frost and William C. Williams are prestigious poets in the contemporary American poetics. They profoundly discussed the human nature, the essence of reality and the dialectical relationship between man and nature in his poetry creation. To Robert Frost, poetry is “a way of life.”
