铜、铝等软质金属要进行高精度镜面加工,是一项极难的技术.东芝生产技术研究所提出了一项新技术:只通过切削方式即可实现镜面加工.这是应用了装有球面空气轴承的精密主轴而取得的成果,仅用金刚石车刀切削,就获得了远胜于以往的高精度镜面(最大粗糙度为0.01微米,最高精度可达0.004微米);端面的毛剌、反射率等都比用抛光加工的工件质量提高20%左右,可用来制造激光加工用的反射镜、信息处理用的多面体镜.目前,工业技术院正在研制“应用激光的超高性能综合生产系统”,
